Owner Surrender

Owner Surrender Status: Currently not accepting any owner surrenders. Puppies under 12 weeks are on a case by case basis depending on an available foster home. You can send us a message via our contact form with details about the puppy.

Found Dog Surrender Status: Currently not accepting any found dog surrenders.

Saving Paws Rescue is only able to accommodate surrendered dogs when we have available space, financial resources and reasonable belief that we can find a home for the dog. Sadly due to the volume of owner surrenders/strays and limited foster homes, we are unable to accept any requests for surrendering a dog until further notice. As an all-volunteer rescue we are dedicated to saving the lives of German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois dogs. Our focus is always to save as many as we can and to make sure that those currently in our care are given everything they need to help them find the perfect forever home.

Owners are encouraged to reach other to other potential rescues to find open space. Accepting a surrendered dog is costly to any rescue. We encourage you to have your dog’s vaccinations current and consider offering a donation to help the rescue defray the costs of caring for your dog. Please be careful with any re-homing attempts through Craigslist. It is filled with great risk as many use craigslist to find free or cheap dogs for evil purposes. If you have found a stray and are not able to keep and search for an owner, you can take the dog to Maricopa County Animal Care and Control Centers. Leaving the dog outside to fend for themselves is not in the best interest of the dog. We are sorry we cannot offer your dog a safe landing at this time.
